This ensemble was inspired by Jenny's want of a performance costume that would be comfortable, stylish and have a Spanish flair. The antique lace sets off the brilliant torquoise and striped coral colors of the top. The pants and over apron were fashion to accompany the top in sophisticated look that is original in style.
Queen Lulu asked me to give her beautiful purple gown made by Susan Sertain a funky Mardi Gras parade feel with the animal theme of 2010. She brought me the garment pieces and fabrics, and let me go to town. What a fun collaboration! I added layered spirals of sheer fabric to the bodice for added presence atop her float and in the streets.
Full length all lace dress layered with red lace cape and under skirting with coordinating red and turquoise laces. Amy selected the materials and colors she wanted for her dress. to match her Dia del Las Muertas themed wedding.
She was kind enough to model her dress for the Immersion Fashion Show in combination with a red tulle headoiece adn floral fingerless gloves.
Reconstructed for the Immersion Fashion collection 2011.
The first version of the dress made in December 2010..
My friend Jor Sutton commissioned me to make this dress for his daughter Naima. She came to the studio for a fitting, selected the fabrics and conveyed an idea of what she wanted. The image on the right conveys the first version, of which we remodeled from a dress into a two piece set on the left. The dress grows with her! We transformed her grade school girlish dress into a middle school modern look. Who know what high school will bring.
Now people were listening with her booty fringe shorts and captain appeal Cari was sexy and in charge!
Phil Cheney had to own this fleece hair creation.
Golden man Rob7 turns this egyptian hat into a visor!
Headgear, hats and more, are available for commission. Both functional designs and costume pieces can be commissioned.
Wool suit material with sculpted collar and hind quarters trimmed with vintage buttons.

How do you Price your Work?
The time I spend on the item determines the price of each individual original commission. If you desired that I design fabric specifically for you then that will be a consideration in time spent on designing the fabric and having it printed. I am an efficient sewer and garment designer, which is good for you, and we can talk about caps on items- aka how much detail you want on them. The benefit of my work is that I do a lot of upcycling of materials, which means I can cut your cost; by using materials you can purchase from me. I have an incredible selection of fabrics, and trims! There is a one time consultation fee of $25 to take your measurements.
Call today to make an appointment with Stina. You will be invited to come into the studio for a fitting and design consultation. Please bring ideas, garments, fabric, and trimmings that you would like to incorporate into your new original ARTeries Commissioned Garments & Accessories.
